Bath and Body Works

I went to the mall today to buy that cute little clutch from Bath & Body Works. I walked in and saw a sign that said if you purchase anything in the store you get the clutch for $5.00. I was so excited! I picked out my clutch then I went and picked out a little bottle of the antibacterial gel for my purse. As I was walking up the cash registar I rembered I had a coupon they gave me on my last visit. I dug it out of my purse and read it. It was for a free Halloween soap figurine when you spend ten dollars. I thought oh no! I'm not spending that much. I held it in my hand any way. I got up to the registar to pay and she saw me holding my coupon and she asked me if I wanted to go pick out my Halloween figurine. I ran right over and picked out a cute pumpkin one. She rang me up and my grand total was (drum roll) $8.60! WOW! I think I got a steal.

Pajama Game

My wonderful husband bought me season tickets to the Civic Center. I took my daughter about 2 weeks ago to see Mamma Mia. We had a great time! We called it mommy and daughter date night. We dressed up in our pretty dresses and went to dinner then to the play. We loved it! The next play they are doing is called "The Pajama Game". We are going to be out of town the weekend it comes. I don't want my tickets to go to waste so if you or someone you know is interested in them please let me know. I will be selling them for face value which is $45 each. The tickets are for Sunday October 12th at 7:00 pm.

I received an e-mail from Bath & Body Works about their new collection called Shea Cashmere. It claims to make your skin silky soft. I will have to give it a try. Also inside the e-mail was a very cute clutch! If you spend $15 in the store you can get this adorable clutch for only $10. I was at the mall today so I stopped by to see it in person and now I love it even more. I will be going back to purchase one very soon.

They also have a freebie going on. If you buy any Black Amethyst product you get a free Lip Lacquer (an $18 value).

Also, they have their Halloween line in. It has lots of cute pumpkins, bats and bears.

Shawnee Oklahoma has a big corn field maze. It is only open 3 months out of the year. Thanks to Metro Family Magazine they are giving away a family pack of 4 tickets to the maze. Not only do they have a big maze they also have a smaller maze for the kids, hay rides, farm animals, kids play area and a barrel train that kids ages 4-11 can ride for free. The Maize is also having a special Halloween maze. Certain days during the month of October it turns into a haunted maze. You walk through the maze in the pitch black and there is no telling who you will run into. Only the brave need apply. This is not for young kids! They will have trick or treating for the kids 10 and under in full costume on October 25th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. With a costume contest at 4:15. Prizes awarded. We went last year and had a grand old time. We didn't win the costume contest but we got lots of candy.

Kids say the darndest things

Today I was standing in the hallway at school. This cute little girl walks by and says "Hi'" to me. I smile and say "Hi" back. Then she says "Remember..." I looked at her and say "Remember what?" She says "Remember I was in 1st grade when I meet you". I say "Yes and now you are in 2nd grade". This cute little girl looks me up and down and says "But you were skinnier then". WOW! Can't beat the brutal honesty there.

I came home and worked out.

Follow up

I'm slowly returning back to my old self again. My doctor called me in some more antibiotics. I have been taking those along with some allergy medicine. I feel a little bit better every day. I have also been planning my husband's birthday party. His birthday was yesterday and he is now 32 years old. Time sure does fly when you're having fun!

I found out about this event in Choctaw, Oklahoma this weekend called Oktoberfest. The Old Germany Restaurant in Choctaw is sponsoring it. It's a 4 day event with German food, beer, wine and dancing. It also has a huge kid's area. Click here for more details. If you happen to go please let me know how it was. We were planning on going but we have so many things to do this weekend I'm not sure if we will make it.

My week

This has been a rough week for me. It all started on Tuesday evening. I was getting ready for bed and I felt a headache coming on so I took some Advil and went to bed. When I woke up Wednesday morning the headache was still there. I took some more Advil and went to work. Wednesday evening my husband left for Dallas for a couple of days with work. My headache would come and go all day long. I tried everything to get it to go away! Advil every 4 hours, migraine medicine, caffeine. Nothing worked long enough. On Friday morning I woke up and I felt horrible! I talked myself into going to work since it was Friday and we had a long weekend ahead. I was at work for about 45 minutes and I felt like I was getting a fever. I knew that I needed to get myself to the doctor. Luckily my doctor got me in at 10:00 that day. He told me that my sinuses were full of puss and that is why my headache won't go away. I told him that I needed to get better fast because my anniversary was on Saturday and we had big plans. So, he gave me a shot and a prescription and sent me on my way. I filled my prescription and went home and crashed in bed! I just knew the shot would help and that Saturday morning I would be good as gold for our 3rd Anniversary. Saturday morning came and I still felt horrible! We went ahead and went to our Bed & Breakfast. We just didn't leave the room once we got there. I spent the whole time in bed feeling like crap! Sunday comes and I feel better just real weak. We check out of the B&B and head out to run some errands. Once we get home I crashed on the couch for the rest of the day. Now we are up to today (Monday). I woke up feeling good. Started getting ready to spend Labor Day with the family. Then all of a sudden I felt like I was going to pass out. I grabbed a snack and sat down to eat it. Then I felt a fever coming on. So I get to spend the rest of my day in bed while my family gets to go eat and swim the day away. I'm so calling the doctor tomorrow when they open. This is ridiculous!!!!!
