Consignment sale

I love children's consignment sales! It is a great place to sale and purchase clothes for your kids. My favorite one Just Between Friends will be at the OKC Fairgrounds on August 25th thru 30th. If you decide to shop please we aware that they charge a $2 entry fee on the first day. This is the only day they charge you to get in. On Friday August 29th items without a star on the tag are 25% off. Then on the last day of the sale Saturday August 30th items without a star on the tag are 50% off. They will be selling Fall and Winter clothing along with shoes, toys, maternity clothes, books, beds and lots more.

If you want to sign up to consign your clothing. They will be having another sale in Norman on September 16th thru 20th. It's a very easy process to sign up and consign. You just need a computer and printer. They require you to print your tags for your clothing online. Don't let that scare you away. They walk you through the whole process and it's very simple. To me the hard part is gathering up all the clothes, pinning the tags on and making sure the hangers and the right direction. It is worth all the effort if you have at least 100 things to put in the sale. I know 100 sounds like a big number but once you all the shirts and pants you have you will be very close to 100. The first time I tried the sale I made over $100 so now I'm hooked!

I recently got a code for a free photo book. It's like scrap booking but online. That is right up my alley! I used my wonderful sister in-laws advice from her website Maternal Maddness. When you are about to buy something from any website go to Google and type in the name of the company and promo.

Bouncin Craze

I babysat today and our plans got ruined by all the rain. I was thankful for all the rain because we really need it but I had to come up with a new plan fast! I remembered my father in-law telling me about this place in Edmond called Bouncin Craze so I looked them up online. I found out where they were located, hours and price. Then I found a coupon online for a buy one get one free admission. Adults are free so I only had to pay for the kids. The coupon saved me $7. The kids had so much fun! We were there for 2 1/2 hours. They don't allow outside food or drink so we packed a lunch and when the kids were hungry we sat in the car and ate then went back inside to play. It was a very productive day and I'm sure the kids will sleep well tonight. If you go or if you have been there before let me know your experience.

On Monday I posted a coupon for a pair of socks free from Bath & Body works with a $15 purchase. I went to the mall today and purchased 5 Anti-bacterial hand soaps for $15 and picked out a pair of the softest socks on earth (pink of course). When I got to the register I handed over my soaps and socks then my coupon. The hand soaps are originally $4.50 each They rang up for $3 each. The socks rang up for $7.50 then the coupon cancelled the socks out. I ended up paying $16.26 after tax. Then I received a coupon for a free Anti-Bacterial Figural hand soap with a $10 purchase. So, I got free stuff and a coupon for more free stuff! You can't beat that!

Movie

There is a movie coming out soon called The Women. It's going to be a great movie for you and your girl friends to get together and see. It's about all things female! There are lots of things going on. I'm not sure where to start! So here goes:

POPS is turning one! They are having a celebration on Wednesday August 6th. They will have moon bounces/slides from 11a.m. - 8p.m. Also, clowns and face painters from 11a.m. - 2p.m. and 5p.m. - 8p.m. There will also be free POPS cupcakes during lunch and dinner. If you have never been to POPS before this is a great time to go and check it out. They have any soda you could ever imagine! There is also a restaurant inside. I myself have never eaten in the restaurant but I heard it was good.

Walgreens is having a free photo development day on Wednesday August 6th. Click here to print off the coupon. It's good for any role of 35mm or APS film or a one time use camera. Limit one role per person.

Leonardo's Discovery Warehouse

A friend of mine told me about this really cool place in Enid, Oklahoma called Leonardo's Discovery Warehouse. It is a bit of a drive but if you're in the mood for something fun and different this is the place! It has a huge wooden castle play ground outside for the kids and the kids at heart to play on. I had never seen something this big before. If you go in the summer time, I would advise that you get there right when they open that way it's not too hot outside. Once you're ready to cool off head inside Leonardo's for some more fun. Inside they have a carpentry shop where kids can play with real nails, hammers and lots more manly tools. There is an art studio where you can paint a masterpiece (just don't forget to come back and take it home with you when it finishes drying). They have a grocery store where you can go shopping for all kinds of food. Next to the grocery store they set up a restaurant where you can sit down and have your little ones wait on you. It comes complete with menus, chef outfits and a kitchen to prepare the food in. We spent a lot of time here! If you have little ones there is a Tot Lot where they can crawl in and out of tubes while in a enclosed area free from the bigger kids stepping on them. They also have animals in cages; at certain times of the day a lady comes over and gets the animals out one by one and tells you all about them. We really enjoyed this part until the lady brought out a tarantula! Then I was done! But our favorite part was the Tornado! You go inside this enclosed area about the size of a phone booth. You squeeze inside and close the door behind you. You can feel the wind blowing and then slowly the wind starts picking up. The wind gets up to 78.9 mph! I have never been inside a real tornado before but I'm sure this is what it would feel like. The girls enjoyed it so much that they did it again and again.

I know that gas is expensive right now but if you're tired of the same old boring things over and over again give this place a try. The admission is really reasonable $6 a person. Children 2 and under free. They also have a concession stand with food and drinks. We didn't try it but the prices looked resonable.
