Tax free weekend

This weekend Friday August 1st thru Sunday August 3rd Oklahoma is having our Sales Tax Holiday. It applies to shoes and clothing under $100 per item. It's a great time to get your back to school shopping done. I'm sure on top of not paying sales tax the stores will be having sales to lure more people in. It is effective throughout the state of Oklahoma but I would still check your favorite stores to make sure they are participating. Have fun shopping till you drop!

Mud Volleyball

It was a very interesting experience I had yesterday; I played mud volleyball. There were 3 long mud pits with nets all the way down. Some courts were really deep and some were shallow. It was mostly mud with very little water. It was very hard to walk in because it was all uneven. Plus your feet get stuck in the mud and it was hard to pull them out. At one point my friend Jaye had to dig her feet out of the mud just to walk. Then on top of all the mud we had to play volleyball in it. With all the mud you couldn’t jump; all you could do was dive in the muddy water. We started our first game at 7:30 a.m. You play best out of three games. At first we thought the other team wasn’t going to show up but then they came with a few minutes to spare. They were all young eighteen year old kids that just graduated from Westmoore high school. We won the first game, they won the second game. It all came down to the third game. We are all ready to play when we look over at the other team and see one of their players is stripped down to a Speedo! Too bad that didn’t work for them because we won the third game! Go us! We had an hour break until our next game. That game came and we lost the first two games so no need to play a third. Now we had an hour and a half to kill before our next game. We sat around talking and drinking lots of water. Some people chose beer over water but I stuck with water. I didn’t want to get dehydrated. Finally it was time for our third game. They won the first game, we won the second and they also won the third. So we were done for the day and it was only 11:30. I was ready for my shower and bed by that time. I showered off and lined my husband’s car with a towel and headed home. It was a very fun but tiring day. Who knows I will probably sign up again next year. I’m crazy like that! =)

Hello and welcome to Lala's World. I thought I would start off my blog with a little bit of information about myself. I'm a wife to a wonderful husband. I'm a mother to a beautiful little girl. I'm born and raised in Oklahoma.

My husband has been trying to get me to do a blog for awhile now. Then one day my sister in-law told me that she started one of her own maternal maddness. After watching hers for awhile and seeing how much fun she was having with it I broke down and started my own. So here I am!
